SING! A Good Noise VIP Young Artist Concert
What an amazing evening of wonderful and familiar gospel music with Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir, VSO School of Music Children's Choir and LFA Concert and Chamber Choir. Sharing the same stage with these amazing choirs, I am inspired and honoured to be part of this concert.
Listening to Crystal Hicks' solo on two of my all time favourite gospels "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" and "His Eyes on the Sparrow", I lost all of my words. This gospel singer is phenomenal beyond what words could describe her!
Then there is Gail Suderman. I've known her for adjudicating my childrens' choirs. But sadly I have not seen her perform live till this evening. Oh my gosh, I have missed out on her all this time. She is now my inspiration and much more. She's an extraordinary and sensational pianist, singer and choir director. This multi-talented lady brings so much energy to the concert and I couldn't stop dancing and clapping on my bench before and after my segment with LFA Concert and Chamber Choirs. I have never been so engrossed to someone's performance for a long time. Thanks for the riveting perforamance, Gail!
Then there are upcoming talented soloists from LAF Chamber Choir: Blessy Rivera & Kathleen Zaragosa. Wowzah! They are upcoming Mariah Careys! So gifted!
Thank you, Marizza Mislang and LFA Concert and Chamber Choirs for this amazing evening to share the same stage with you and these amazingly talented ladies making wonderful gospel music together. I am super lucky to be part of this amazing concert, and you all are so amazing! Thank you! :)
I think I most certainly loved "I'll Be Satisfied", "Victory" and "Jesus Be a Fence Around Me". So much energy and super inspirational.
Then there are my all time favourites such as "Oh Happy Day" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water". I melt listening to these selections. Then "Amazing Grace" on the brand new tune of "House of the Rising Sun". I've only heard of it once but to listen to it in the live concert was something special. I think I'd better dig this song up. It is too beautiful not to revive it with my choir.
I will never forget this wonderful program. I also sang while sitting as an audience member. Just wonderful music and I am still uplifted hours after the show...
But I shall head to sleep for another performance in the morning hopefully inspiring my church choir...
Will be hearing gospel music as I drift into the dreamland... Ciao!
